▷▷ I was introduced to the world of dance through choreographer Sarah Chase, whom I met in 2008. We were in Calgary working on Train, a show by a mutual friend and wonderful artist Maiko Yamamoto. Our friendship was immediate. I had never imagined that someone could speak and dance at the same time. That is exactly where Sarah Chase's language takes its full dimension: movement gives words a different resonance, and words make the language of the body clearer, without losing any of its mystery. It is to her that I owe my practice as a composer for dance. Thank you Maiko. Thank you, Sarah.

▷▷ The encounter with Guillaume Côté of the National Ballet of Canada was also a turning point. Robert Lepage imagined the life of Norman McLaren as a ballet, and Guillaume gave it form in an extraordinary way. From traditional Chinese music to 1960s psychedelic rock, it was the project that surprised me the most. I fell in love with composing for dance. Thank you, Guillaume.
