▷▷ The harder it is to classify a project, the more excited I get about scoring it. Mixing disciplines, letting other art forms dictate the composition, or creating music for unexpected contexts — that's what gets me most fired up. It's in my collaborations with interdisciplinary artist Cindy Mochizuki that this crossover happens most consistently. Her practice integrates animation, sculpture, drawing, performance, dance, installation and writing, making her universes the most beautiful canvases for my sound work. A dozen projects later, the category remains the same: unclassifiable. Thank you, Cindy.
